I'm a Platform Engineer at Ionik Tech in Madrid, where I work on the Internal Developer Platform and the 20+ production Kubernetes clusters underneath it.

I started in 2011 repairing hardware in Montevideo, spent years as a Linux sysadmin, and moved through DevOps into platform engineering — Atos, Technisys, Skydance Animation and The Workshop along the way.

Outside work I build and run TriBathon, a subathon timer for streamers, from code to production.

    • Design and implement the Internal Developer Platform (IDP), enabling self-service infrastructure and reducing time-to-market for multiple engineering teams.

    • Drive GitOps adoption with ArgoCD and FluxCD, improving deployment traceability and security across the organization.
    • Strengthen system resilience through advanced monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana) and by leading Root Cause Analysis for complex production incidents.

    Three teams in three years: CDN, Internal Development and Platform Engineering.

    • Joined the CDN team to help build a custom Content Delivery Network; delivered a new UAT environment end to end and drove GitOps adoption with FluxCD and ArgoCD.
    • Improved monitoring and observability, and led incident response, failure analysis, and documentation of SOPs and operational processes.
    • Moved to the Internal Development team: automated internal workflows, optimized CI/CD pipelines, and standardized tooling to boost engineering productivity.
    • Joined the Platform Engineering team: designed and built scalable, secure, production-ready infrastructure with IaC automation, Kubernetes platform enhancements, and cloud-native enablement.
